We wanted to ensure that ALL of our available resources were being deployed in our economy, and that meant including people with disabilities. So the Edmonton Employer Consortium was developed to bring business, government and community groups together. We are committed to position people with disabilities in the workplace. We help employers find good employees! And when everybody participates, everybody benefits. This is what being a community is all about."
RBC Royal Bank Molly Ann Chan, Regional Vice President, Edmonton Suburban Markets "At RBC we are committed to employing a diverse workforce and we know that employing persons with disabilities makes good business sense. That's why we offer a broad range of career opportunities for individuals with disabilities who share our passion for putting our clients first."

We have accommodated some of our disabled employees by providing modified workstations, additional training and time to adapt, and offering flexible work day arrangements. We treat them just as we would any other new employee. Any changes and costs we incurred were minimal in comparison to the contributions our employees make."
Native Counselling Services Alan Benson, CEO "You learn from having employees with disabilities they represent an importnt part of our team. Life has taught them how to problem solve and that skill has great value to us."
